Taean, Chungcheongnam-do “Hakam Restaurant” Gegukji, soy sauce crab set meal

Second day of a one-night trip to Taean. I visited Hakam Restaurant on Sunday afternoon.

If you look for restaurants in Chungnam and Taean, you can almost always find gegukji and soy sauce crab.

Gekokji is said to be the local food of the Chungnam region.

In the days when food was scarce, soak crab with big red sea bass (yellow crab) or Japanese crab (Japanese crab) and eat it in the winter

Gegukji is a type of kimchi stew that was eaten simmered in fresh kimchi because it was too difficult to throw away leftover crab.

My mother, who is from Chungnam, visited Hakam Restaurant in Taean, wondering why they never gave me a meal.

I ordered a soy sauce crab set meal (50,000 won for 2 people).

There were no customers, so it wasn't long before the prize came out.

A rich side dish was placed on a Korean bowl with a hearty pattern.

Like a local restaurant, they lay out plastic tablecloths.

Soy sauce crab with lots of shredded spicy peppers.

I sprinkled the crab sauce on rice and took a bite of the chewy crab meat.

The combination of the spicy pepper flavor and the sweetness of soy sauce was very good.

The rice is also smelly, so I just love it.
