In the cold winter when the cold waves are raging, when the
cold wind is raging, I often think of hot home-cooked meals. In particular, when I think of
cheonggukjang in a boiling earthenware pot, I even feel warm with its savory warmth.
Cheonggukjang is called Sengok sauce (Sengok sauce) because it is made to be eaten within a short period of time during wartime (wartime), or cheonggukjang (Cheongguk sauce) because it was learned in the Qing Dynasty. Cheonggukjang, a type
of miso made by soaking meju beans in hot water and fermenting them in a hot place, is known to
contain substances beneficial to the body, such as reducing carcinogens and excreting toxins from the body. Let's take a look at cheonggukjang, which evokes nostalgia for many people with its most intense aroma among Korean food, and
cheonggukjang, which is full of the flavor of a mother's hand to soothe the cold in the city center.
1. The warmth of a quiet alley, Samcheong-dong âByeokgung Restaurantâ
âVilla Restaurantâ in Samcheong-dong is impressive when Jang Dokdae
fills the yard.
Cheonggukjang made from our soybeans produced in Gucheon-dong, Muju, is a famous place. Directly soaked beans are brought in and used once a week. They use the method of boiling beans, adding rice straw, and cooking cheonggukjang in a private room for 3 nights and 4 days, and it is famous for its mild flavor unique to cheonggukjang because the time and temperature are well adjusted.
Cheonggukjang, which has an excellent mild flavor that is
not strong, is served in an earthenware pot with perilla seeds , mushrooms, and pumpkins. You can feel mom's warmth once again from hearty side dishes such as stewed fish, shiraegi herbs, and bellflower sauce that come with it. Note that it is located in the alley behind Deokseong Yeogo, so there is no parking space.

â²Location : 19-16, Yunboseon-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul â² Business hours: 11:30 – 21:30 every day (break time: 15:00 to 17:00), closed on Sundays, closed on holidays â² Price: Cheonggukjang 8,000 won, miso stew 8,000 won â² Review (Potato with a meal): Shrug over rice I rolled it up and ate cheonggukjang, but it wasn't salty at all, and it was
so savory and delicious!
2. Cheonggukjang in the manga, City Hall âSajik Bunsikâ
Although it has a food
stall sign, it's more famous as Cheonggukjang. Since it appeared as a cheonggukjang restaurant in the comic âDinerâ by Vanyong-man, it has been known as âThe Diner's Cheonggukjang.â After operating as a small restaurant with 3 tables near the Sajik Tunnel, they have now moved to the Chosun Hotel. As much as Cheonggukjang has a separate fermentation room to avoid the
polluted air of Seoul, it is a place that prides itself on having the best flavor in the country.
The characteristic of cheonggukjang, which is not strong and light, is that anyone, young or old, can eat it gently. The spicy and
sharp tofu stew is also one of the popular dishes.

still fill my memories and a delicious meal ~!
3. 'Sambojeong' in Yeouido, a 30-year
tradition where you can feel the touch of a mother
Although it is a traditional yakiniku restaurant for 30 years, Cheonggukjang is so famous that it is also known as Yeouido Cheonggukjang. Cheonggukjang is crowded
with people visiting at lunchtime. A savory cheonggukjang filled the pot with plenty of clunky sliced tofu. Since the soybean grains are alive, you can feel the aroma even more intense. You can eat it in a pot
instead of an earthenware pot, simmered and seasoned to your liking. It is also a delicacy to eat rice mixed with cheonggukjang on a yangpun containing bean sprouts, pickled chives , and radish sprouts.

4.
'Jinju Cheonggukjang', full of sincerity made from organic frozen soybeans
Yangjae's Cheonggukjang restaurant opened in Jinju in 1986 and has been operating until now. âJinju Cheonggukjangâ is famous for using broth made by simmering dapori , radish, and onions
overnight to reduce the unique smell and maximize the savory flavor. It
moved to Seoul in 1995, passed through Yeouido, and showcased a combination of cheonggukjang and limited food, and has many regular customers. Since cheonggukjang is made by adjusting the time for fermenting cheonggukjang in a
warm place and the know-how to cover the cloth, it reduces the unique smell a lot, making it popular among young people. Cheonggukjang, made from organically grown black beans, has a thick, rich flavor, and is refreshing even after eating. It's a great place to introduce foreign tourists to the
luxury of Cheonggukjang, which you can enjoy together in a limited-edition style with clean herbs, vegetables, and meat.

Lulu, the god of food ^^): A great place to eat a relaxing meal with a clean side dish ^^ Cheonggukjang I don't
usually like to eat, but this place is really delicious!
5. Cost-effective Cheonggukjang Baekban, Noryangjin's 'Dara Restaurant'
âDara Dinerâ gives Noryangjin
students the warmth of a home-cooked meal. It is
a place that accepts orders based on the number of people with a single menu. âJumuluk Cheonggukjangâ is a white rice dish made with pork steamed along with
cheonggukjang. It is a place that has gained word of mouth
among test takers due to its low price and good value for money. Cheonggukjang contains Chinese cabbage and has a savory but refreshing flavor, so it's also good as a haejang. It is also a delicacy to eat cheonggukjang on the rice served and wrapped in a spicy stew.
â²Location : 2 Manyang-ro Gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul â² Opening hours: 11:30 – 21:00 every day (break time:1 5:00 ~ 17:30) â² Price: Chimuluk Cheonggukjang 7,000 won â² Review (Shikigin Mononoke Hime
): I think Noryangjin is the best place to eat to your heart's content at a reasonable price. Dara Diner is a place I enjoy because it's as clean and filling as the meal my mom gave me.
