I visited âTeam Howanâ on the recommendation of the team leader. As it turned out, it was a historic restaurant that received one star in the Hong Kong Michelin Guide for 11 consecutive years. It opened its first store in Samseong-dong on December 19, 2019. They said they could enjoy the local flavors by strictly following the Hong Kong head office's recipes, but I went to taste them to see if they were real!
No matter who sees it from the outside of the store, this is a dim sum restaurant! Tim Ho Wan showing that… I'm going to meet him now…
Even though we went before the opening, there were already about 15 teams waiting in front of us… after about an hour of waiting, we went in, and it was already full! And the long wait continued until we got out of the meal.
First of all, to recap today, I had a flex at the dim sum restaurant, what!
The menu includes everything from dim sum, meals such as fried rice, noodles, and rice bowls to desserts such as egg tarts, aloe jelly, and alcoholic beverages such as beer.
There are four types of soy sauce, pepper, worcestershire sauce, and latte noodle sauce on the table, so you can eat them in a sauce bowl according to your preferences.
Seasonal vegetable price 5,000 won
Bok choy mixed with Tim Ho Wan's special sauce! The sweet and spicy sauce and fresh bok choy go well together, but when you feel a little bit of dim sum in your mouth, eating them one by one reduces the fatty flavor and makes you eat more dim sum.
The price of the Chashubao bun is 6,000 won
The good thing is that you have to watch the picture once and the video twice! Tim Ho Wan's signature menu is one of the must-try dishes for every table. It is a menu where you can enjoy the rich sweetness of a sweet bun filled with plenty of barbecue forks.
Tender pork mixed with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce, and even an attractive crunchy texture! In a nutshell, it's the moon itself! There may be some dislikes and dislikes for people who don't like sweetness, so keep an eye out!
The price of Hagau is 5,000 won
Hagau has a whole large shrimp inside a transparent dumpling skin! The chewy dim sum blood and plump flesh met, and I was able to fully enjoy the fun of chewing and the flavor of shrimp. If you like shrimp, I definitely recommend this menu to try.
The price of Hong Kong-style wonton noodles is 9,500 won
If you take a bite of the soup and taste it, you can feel the rich flavor of the shrimp, so you can really relax your stomach? I felt like eating really luxurious shrimp soup noodles. The characteristic of the noodles is that they use egg noodles and have a chewy texture. The soup was so rich that I couldn't help but notice it, it was an addictive flavor that kept pouring on.
The price of fried rice in Yangzhou is 8,000 won
Yangzhou fried rice made by adding various ingredients such as eggs, meat, shrimp, and carrots. I didn't really feel the taste because it was a bit more mixed than I thought… It was the least popular menu for us on this day because it had an unknown flavor, neither this nor me… hehe
Shrimp rice roll price 6,000 won
A rice roll with a tender dumpling wrapped in a shrimp. Enjoy that sauce that comes out of the bowl! Puck! If you eat it as a dipping sauce, the flavor will stay fresh, and you can enjoy it even more deliciously. The skin of the dumpling is really tender, and the thick shrimp has a strong licorice role that enhances the texture.
The price of Szechuan-style wonton is 7,000 won
When we first ordered Szechuan-style wonton, we were told that there might be differences in likes and dislikes due to stickiness, but we boldly took on the challenge. A Szechuan-style wonton that stood out for the color of the green vegetables sprinkled on top of the reddish sauce. When you put it in one bite, the spiciness that spreads softly like the scent of mara is combined with the freshness of coriander, JMT! Coriander doesn't have a bad flavor, so it's easy to eat, so we all chose it as the best menu of the day.
The price of the debt bridge is 5,000 won
If hagau contains only shrimp, fan gyo is a combination of leek and shrimp. It was a dim sum that stood out for its soft, crunchy, and fragrant chives. You can enjoy the rich flavor of chives, so I definitely recommend this menu to chive lovers!
The price of Shaomai is 4,500 won
The bright yellow color and luster that flows over the dim sum tempts people to eat shaomai… It's great to enjoy the moist juiciness and rich flavor of minced pork and shrimp.
The price of steamed pork ribs is 5,000 won
For some, it felt moist and soft, but for someone else, it was bland… the flickering fire felt like eating sweet and sour pork..? It was a menu with quite a few likes and dislikes.
After ordering a variety of menus and eating… every dim sum comes in 3 pieces, so I thought it might be a bit vague if 4 people go. The best seller wasn't bad, and the rest of the menu seemed to have mixed likes and dislikes.
On the service side, it's still in the early stages of opening, so it's a cluttered feeling? We ordered 2 times in total, but the food usually takes a long time to come out… the second order came first, and one menu was missing, so I asked them to cancel, but when I asked them without a word, they said it was cancelled, but they couldn't cancel…? I felt a little distracted.
Also, based on our opinions, we recommend the following menu: chashubao bun, hagau, and Szechuan-style wonton! If you're visiting Tim Ho Wan for the first time, I definitely recommend trying these three things.

â²Location: 1F, 30, Bongeunsa-ro 86-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
â²Opening hours: 11:30 â 21:30 every day, B/T 15:00 â 17:00
â²Price: Cha Shu Bao Ban 6,000 won, Ha Gow 5,000 won
â²Testimonial (Shikigami iPod Touch): I've been to Hong Kong a few times, but I haven't been there because the line is too long, so I went to Burinake after hearing about the opening~ It was right after break time, so I didn't wait much! There were a lot of people in my group, so I tried all the different menus, but Szechuan-style wonton has a mara flavor that is easy for beginners to eat! Personally, I wanted coriander and strong mara flavor, but it wasn't bad. The signature dish, Cha Shu Bao Bun, had a strong sweetness, but the group was delicious!
