korean food / seoul / 5 best restaurants in Hwayang-dong recognized by local residents – 2359

“Hwayang-dong” is located between Konkuk University Station and Children's Grand Park Station. It is a neighborhood that is close to universities such as Sejongdae and Kondae, and there are plenty of things to do, so the younger generation never stops walking. Filled with a unique and vibrant atmosphere, this place has a variety of restaurants, from trendy restaurants to good value for money. From Greek yogurt specialty stores where you can choose your favorite toppings, to dessert cafes where you can enjoy a date with a cozy sensibility, and cooking bars where you can enjoy the freshness of seafood from all over the country! Here are 5 of the best restaurants in Hwayang-dong, known as popular spots for local residents.

1. 'Aos Yogurt' in Hwayang-dong, Seoul, to enjoy yogurt of your choice

“Aos Yogurt” is enjoyed by adding toppings such as fruit, nuts, and cookies to Greek yogurt. The signature menu is “Before Sunset,” which adds freshness by putting raspberry fruit, pineapple, banana, and cereal on top of thick yogurt, and “Leon,” which makes the most of its sweetness with toppings of seasonal fruits, oreos, and castellas. I also like customization where you can choose your own toppings, starting with the yogurt base.

â–²Testimonial (Watermelon claps): I like yogurt, so I go there often, and I think it's nice to be able to choose your own toppings. The regular size gives you one scoop, and the large size gives you two scoops, but if you eat the large size, it's great as a meal.

Every day, “Quiet House” offers a variety of pastas made from raw noodles picked directly from the store. The signature menu is “bolognese,” which combines finely chopped beef sirloin and tomato-made bolognese sauce with a wide layer of noodles. The sauce seeps in between the elastic noodles and adds a rich flavor. The “Parisian gnocchi,” which has a fluffy French texture and is flavored with cheese, is also popular.

“Ad&D”, which is operated by remodeling a family home, stands out for its vintage-style interior. The interior of the store is divided into room spaces, so it's a great place to spend a private time. The signature menu, “Sweet Pumpkin Cake,” draws attention with the rich cream that flows down the cake. If you put plenty of cream on it and eat it in one bite, you can enjoy the rich flavor and sweetness of the sweet pumpkin in your mouth.
