âCheongjuâ is a capital city located in the central part of Chungcheongbuk-do, and is the center of education, culture, and economy. It can be seen that Cheongju, known as the âtown of Yangbanâ and âthe town of scholars,â worked hard on learning as educational institutions such as Gakuwon-gyeong were located from the end of Silla to the Joseon period. It is also the background for the birth of the world's first metal typeface, âJikji Shim Tae Yo-seol,â which was listed as a UNESCO World Record Heritage Site. Since the 1962, arts groups such as music, art, theater, and photography have gathered to develop Cheongju's local art culture. Thanks to this, Cheongju has established itself as a home for stars who have produced many celebrities such as Lee Hyo-ri, Han Hyo-joo, Kim Beom-soo, and Kim Sung-joo. 1. 'Ian Terrace Bakery Cafe' in Yulyang-dong, a dining complex cultural space offering a variety of flavors

âIan Terrace Bakery Cafeâ is a dining complex cultural space where restaurants, cafes, and bakeries come together. It has a '' shaped structure, and the center space is neutral, making it stand out for its cool sense of openness. The signature dish is âBasque cheesecake,â where the cake dough is baked at a high temperature in a short time and has a slightly burnt exterior. The smoky scent and rich cheese flavor emanating from the surface are attractive. Unlike regular cheesecakes, it is characterized by a moist yet soft texture like mousse. I also like âIn the Cream,â a cream latte with homemade cream on top of the latte. The cream is not very sweet, so it enhances the aroma of coffee.
â²Location: 191 Yulyang-ro, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk
â²Opening hours: 10:00 – 23:00 every day
â²Price: Basque cheesecake 6,900 won, in the cream 6,500 won
â²Testimonial (Blaggy Shikigin user): There is a separate time for bread to be served, so different types of bread come out at 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, and 12 o'clock. Overall, the interior is clean with white-toned walls and tables, and is decorated with plants, making it a cozy feeling. The store is big, so I think it would be nice to come with kids. There are lots of good-looking and delicious desserts too! Taking pictures is great too! Now that it's warm, I'll have to go enjoy the outdoors again this time.
2. âEntraporeâ in Daja-gu, which captures open nature

âEntraporeâ has a wall on one side of the wall where you can capture a quiet natural landscape at a glance. Entrapore, which uses both buildings as cafes, has a large courtyard and mini pool. The signature menu âEntra Brunchâ includes 2 waffles, salad, grilled sausage, scrambled eggs, whole grain almonds, maple syrup, and potato salad on one plate. You can also enjoy waffles that are baked with raw croissant paper and torn to pieces even sweeter by adding maple syrup. In addition, salads topped with balsamic dressing, sausages sprinkled with mustard sauce, and scrambled eggs fill the stomach.

â²Review (Mimi Shikigami): There was such a big cafe on the outskirts of Cheongju! I also feel like I've traveled to the grass to the pool. They also have a parking lot, so I was able to park comfortably. I had an entra brunch, but I actually came out and was full even when the two of us ate together! The croffles were so crispy, they were really delicious. It was a perfect combination of fresh salad, thick sausage, and soft scrambled eggs.
3. The grandeur of high floors, 'Acre' in Bunpyeong-dong

âAcresâ is a large bakery cafe with a three-story store, a spacious courtyard, and outdoor terrace seats. The interior, which has a front window on one wall from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor, has a high floor height, giving it a grand feel. At the store, you can choose from over 20 different bakeries to suit your taste, such as homemade Vendors, Croissants, Scones, and Zambonbeurs. The signature dish is âcream latte,â which is a savory latte topped with cream and topped with cocoa powder to finish. We recommend that you soak the coffee as it is without mixing it so that it can flow through the chewy cream in your mouth. Sweet cream and cocoa powder capture the bitter taste of coffee and provide an addictive sweet and bitter taste.
â²Location: 637-2, Bunpyeong-dong, Seowon-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk
â²Opening hours: 10:00 – 23:00 every day
â²Price: Cream latte 6,000 won, fruit croissant 5,500 won
â²Testimonial (Fried Chicken Noodle): The cafe was huge! It was nice that the interior was spacious too. There was a separate baking space in the store, so it quickly filled up. There were two types of fruit croissants: strawberry and grape, but I chose the strawberry and ate it. There's plenty of fresh cream between the crispy croissants! Lots of strawberries too! If you want bread, be sure to stop by! In addition to bakery types, there are also salads and yogurt!

â²Review (Pokémon vs Digimon): There are terrace seats on the first floor, and there are plenty of photo zones with stylish interiors. There are so many types of delicious breads and cakes that it was hard to choose. If you usually like black sesame, I really recommend TT latte! It's nice because it has a rich, spicy flavor! There was also a large parking lot, so it was easy to park. I think you can come without worrying about parking!

âHairasticâ is a bakery cafe located inside Cheongju National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. A large-scale all-in-one cafeteria serving brunch, drinks, wine, and bakery in one place. The signature menu is the âRustic Black Burger,â which is made up of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and yakiniku from Blackburn. It contains plenty of sweet and spicy yakiniku, so you can enjoy the rich juiciness until the last bite. The honeycomb-shaped french fries served with the burger are mixed with a sweet cheese sauce to further enhance the umami. Note that they also have a set menu that includes a Rustic Black Burger and a glass of Aide or Tap beer at a discounted price.
â²Location: 314, Sangsang-ro, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do
â²Opening hours: 10:00 – 21:00 every day
â²Price: Rustic Black Burger 16,000 won, Las Vegas Brunch 21,000 won
â²Testimonial (Eating with Fire 9119): Visiting an art museum and eating a delicious brunch is two birds with one stone! Plants and vintage wooden interiors everywhere give an exotic feel. The black burger had yakiniku instead of a patty, so the salty one was even more delicious! When eaten with sweet persimmons, it's a true blend of sweet and salty! There are many types of bakeries, such as scones, croissants, basil tomato crunch, etc., so I packed a few.
