It's hard to go on a trip abroad to Koshi these days! Naturally, the number of tourists going on domestic trips is increasing. Among them, Gyeongnam is loved by many for being able to enjoy mountain and marine tourism at the same time. The fresh charm of the lush forest and the cool, panoramic ocean views are a healing feeling just by looking at them. Gyeongnam, full of things to do, such as Dongpirang Mural Village in Tongyeong, Gaya Theme Park in Gimhae, Aerospace Museum in Sacheon, and Yejwacheon Romance Bridge in Changwon, is an area full of excitement 365 days a year. I heard that Mount Gumgang was also a view after a meal! Add to the fun of your trip by visiting restaurants with a reputation for their delicious flavors all over Gyeongnam! Here are 5 of the best restaurants in Gyeongnam, known as a mecca for summer trips.

âBulamjeongâ started near Seonam Bridge in 1976 and moved to a riverside eel town in 2008. You can enjoy your meal while taking in the cool view of Nakdong River in front of the store. If you order the signature menu âgrilled eel,â they will also serve side dishes such as salad, pickles, etc., and delicacies made from eel, such as jelly soup and deep-fried eel bones. Eel, which has been cooked until golden while removing the fat from the grill in the traditional way, is served on a hot stone plate. You can enjoy the addictive flavor of plump, fleshy eel topped with sauce that has been aged for 1 year, and grilled with sauce that has been aged for 1 year. Salt-grilled eel, which makes use of the natural aroma of eel, further enhances the flavor of the subtle charcoal-grilled flavor.

â²Testimonial (The nickname for Shikigin is difficult): I didn't feel that the eel was properly grilled, so I kept going all the way to the last point without getting bitten. It's fun to eat delicious ripe eel in a variety of combinations, such as eating it just by wrapping it in lettuce, or garnished with pickles! If you drink a cup of pufferfish juice, you feel completely taken care of your body~
2. 'Buil Restaurant' in Seoho-dong, Tongyeong, captures the fresh taste of jolbok

âBuil Restaurantâ uses jolbok to serve a variety of bok dishes such as spicy soup, steamed soup, etc. About 9 delicious side dishes, such as homemade salted whoraegi and salted anchovies, and seasonal sashimi are provided as standard. The signature menu is âBokguk,â which is freshly prepared jolbok boiled with ingredients such as bean sprouts and buttercups. In order not to damage the fresh flavor of jolbok, I used minimal seasoning with garlic and salt to make the most of its light flavor. The hot soup is so refreshing that you can feel refreshed just by taking a bite. Jolbok, which is bone-coated one by one to make it easier for customers to eat, has an extraordinary chewiness and makes chewing fun. If you wrap crunchy buttercups and bean sprouts in chewy puff and eat them dipped in soy sauce, the rich flavor and texture are further enhanced.

â²Review (Shikigin Vitamin Jelly): It's a place I definitely stop by every time I go on a trip to Tongyeong. I can feel that the side dishes are not filled with gajitsu, but are made with great care one by one. The pufferfish soup is so cool that when you eat the soup, it makes a hissing sound. If you roll up the rice and put salted fish on it and eat it, one bowl is perfect. Salted fish was sold separately, so I packed it when I went home, and my mother gave me a compliment. hehe

âFuture chickenâ is made from domestic raw chicken and hand-grown vegetables. You can find a variety of dishes made with chicken, from chicken to grilled garlic, deep-fried chicken, steamed chicken, chicken doritang, and mizutaki. The signature menu, âFried,â stimulates the taste buds with the savory smell of tempura that comes out of the packaging box. Using only pure raw chicken instead of salted chicken, they emphasized healthy flavors without being irritating. The crunchy sound irritates your hearing when you bite off the tempura batter, which is full of moisture, and the juicy inner skin greets you. The combination of tender meat and crispy tempura batter makes for a classic texture on the outside. Vegetables such as zucchini, carrots, and sweet potatoes, and the âvegetable steamed chicken,â which is made by hand simmering chicken with seasoning, are also popular. The sweet and spicy sauce is deeply ingrained into the chicken, making it a perfect meal menu.

â²Testimonial (White Whale): I usually only feel fried food, so I can't eat it all, but this is different! There is no greasy feeling until the last piece is eaten, only the aroma is felt. The sweet and spicy marinated chicken is also delicious, and there's also a bone-in menu that's easy to eat without the need to eat it~ The steamed chicken here is such a rice thief, but I'll have to try it next time.
4. 'Coin House' in Chungmu-dong, Changwon, where a warm heart continues

âCoin houseâ is the name given by the Navy in the past because it was possible to eat a hearty meal with only coins in a paycheck bag. âGrilled pork kimchi,â developed by the first boss by designing a menu that gave soldiers the feeling of eating home-cooked meals at a reasonable price, is the signature menu and single menu. The sharp flavor of pork kimchi, which is made by frying large pieces of kimchi, onions, and pork in a rustic manner with condiments, captivates the palate. If you add a sauce made from a mixture of garlic and mayonnaise, the spicy flavor will be neutralized and you can enjoy it more smoothly. It's a great way to finish off with âfried rice,â which is savory stir-fried with seaweed powder and rice to the leftover seasoning. Note that you need to leave about 1/3 of the meat and vegetables for fried rice.

â²Testimonial (My Neighbor's Dog): The sweet and spicy flavor that comes out when the onion is cooked meets the aroma of pepper, making this pork kimchi very addictive! The kimchi inside is the key, and the texture is just right, so it goes well with chewy pork. If you wrap the meat and vegetables in the mayonnaise sauce that comes with it and soak them thoroughly, the flavor is absolutely magical!
5. A 'local house' in Mujeon-dong, Tongyeong, where you can enjoy the taste of the sea of Tongyeong
When oyster dishes were unfamiliar in Tongyeong, a âlocal restaurantâ began to specialize in oyster dishes. They learn oyster dishes that they learned on their own while traveling back and forth in Japan to suit the tastes of Koreans. The signature menu âLocal Courseâ starts with oyster rice with a rich flavor of the sea, and includes oysters, raw oyster sashimi, grilled oysters, seasoned oysters, and steamed oysters. During the course, âoysters,â made by wrapping oysters in egg water made with finely chopped chives and onions and pouring them out like dumplings, have a special flavor that has been patented. The rich smell of oysters is wrapped in a cozy egg coat and blends harmoniously. âSteamed oysters,â which are lightly boiled oysters mixed with meat and bean sprouts, is also a delicacy. Thanks to the combination of spicy seasoning and chewy oysters, like eating steamed monkfish, it is also a favorite snack menu.

You can order a single item, but I ordered a course meal because I wanted to try everything. There were so many different ingredients, such as fresh oyster sashimi and dishes that had a variety of flavors when cooked, so it was fun to enjoy!
