korean food / seoul / 5 best ramen restaurants with chewy noodles that melt away the winter – 2790

When it's chilly in the winter, you'll find a nice and small ramen shop. When I receive a bowl of steaming ramen, firstly, I admire the beautiful filling, the second is punch in the rich flavor of the soup, and third, the soft texture of the raw noodles makes me feel really excited. Ramen restaurants are still busy today to enjoy the joy of a simple bowl. However, when we think of ramen, we usually think of tonkotsu (pork broth), soy sauce (soy sauce), miso (Japanese miso), shio (salt), chicken (chicken), spicy tantan noodles, and tsukemen eaten with soup, but the spectrum is actually quite broad. Even so, ramen comes from the Chinese word “lamian,” which means noodles, and it's easy to understand it as “noodle dishes” or “noodles.” Ramen with tomatoes and basil as the main ingredient is so popular that it is a food with endless variations, so it's no wonder that many people are breaking the rules of ramen restaurants all over the country.

Ramen restaurants in Seoul include Mangwon Oreno Ramen, Hapjeong Ramen at the End of the World, Songpa Menya Hanabi, Hongdae Sangsu Hakata Bunko, Namsan Geumsan Noodle Factory, Mangwon Damtaek, Sookdae Hanamokoshi, Hongdae Butanchu, Hongdae Menya Sundaime, Hongdae Sangsu Ramen Truck, Kondae Umaido, Namsan Iine, Sinchon Karamanya, Gangdong Menya Seven, Dogok Toricio, Apgujeong Toricama, Mangwon Menya-jun, Myeongwon Menya-jun, Myeongwon Famous places include Ten, Seongsu Menya Konoha, Seoul Station Yuzu Ramen, Anguk Tomayuzu Ramen, Yeonnam Sarukame, Mullae Ro Ramen, Hongdae Mashitaya, Sinchon Gammaru Ramen, Yeonnam-dong Hakuten Ramen, Mangwon Gomitae, Yeonnam Hana Ramen, and Yeonnam Honne.

Famous ramen restaurants across the country include Yutaro in Seohyeon, Bundang, Ilsandong-gu, Uijeongbu Sakura Ramen, Suwon Paldal-gu, Chinchikurin, Seomyeon, Busan, Tengoku, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, Oishi Ramen in Jung-gu, Ulsan, and Yonju Ramen in Jung-gu, Ulsan. This week, I'm going to introduce the top 5 ramen restaurants that are popular these days.

Mangwon “Damtaek,” where you become the main character in a Japanese movie

Damtaek is famous for its unique menu and cute interior. The interior is full of vintage props and postcards, which reminds me of a scene I saw in a Japanese movie. This place focuses on “sio ramen,” which is chicken broth seasoned with salt, and “shioremon ramen” with lemon slices, “yuzu shio ramen” with yuzu juice, and “wasabi shio ramen” with wasabi, but each one digests one hundred per day. Recently, they also launched “baguette butter sio ramen,” which contains butter. There are many reviews that homemade noodles, which have a firm texture, go well with the flavor of butter.

▲Location: 34, World Cup-ro 8-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

▲Business hours: 11:30 to 20:00 (B/T every Wednesday 15:00 to 17:00)

▲Price: Shio ramen 8,500 won, yuzu shio ramen 9,000 won, wasabi shio ramen 10,000 won

▲Testimonial (from a warm customer): I think it's delicious. It's a ramen shop that specializes in sio ramen, and the interior is cute and the atmosphere is nice. There are lots of owls all over the place. I ate sio ramen with yuzu flavor, and it's nice because the light soup is refreshing and refreshing, and it has the charm of yuzu flavor without feeling compared to other ramen restaurants. After a long time, I would like to introduce a new restaurant.

The song “Torisio,” which changes every day and is new every day

Torisio impresses with its clean interior and the sight of the face being washed directly at the entrance. The signature menu is “Tori Soba,” which has chicken as the main ingredient and has a rich and savory flavor for a long time, and the refreshing flavor of the soup is impressive. Chashu is made in a sous vide style rather than a typical smoky style, and feels moist when you take a bite. Other items on the menu include “Shio ramen” and “abura soba,” which is eaten raw, but the menu sold each day is different. It's posted on Instagram every day, so it's a good idea to check it out.

A hot new restaurant that recently opened. The owner of a yakitori restaurant tried ramen. An interesting point is that the fan used to grill yakitori is displayed inside the store. There is a small space with tables and tables, and a kitchen with a clear view of the inside. The menu is simple: “Shio ramen,” “shoyu ramen,” and “karai miso ramen.” The signature dish, sio ramen, is a rich broth made with chicken bones, chicken feet, and broiler, toppings such as moist chashu, hot radish, and kelp. It is characterized by its lower salinity compared to regular ramen.

▲Business hours: 11:30 to 20:00 (closed every Monday and Sunday)

▲Price: Shoyu ramen 11,000 won, Shio ramen 10,000 won

▲Testimonial (Shikigami Cherrybebe): Tori Jun was taken aback by the sudden closure, but they said they opened a ramen shop… It was very nice to see you. It's not a rich, green style; it's a clear and light bath, but it's nice that it's not salty.

The overwhelming taste of the refreshing broth, 'Menten' in Myeongdong

A new ramen shop added to Bib Gourmand this year. It is located about 5 minutes from Myeongdong Station. They offer two types of menus, shoyu ramen and tantanmen, and are characterized by their unique strong salinity. The die-shaped bar table can only accommodate about 8 people, so there are long waits at lunchtime. The consistency of the soup looks clear, but when you scoop up a spoon and put it in your mouth, you'll be amazed at the umami that explodes. The simple garnish of rare pork, soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and herbs doesn't impair the flavor of the soup, so the balance is good.

▲Location: 305 Samil-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul

▲Business hours: 11:40 ~ 20:00 (B/T 14:30 ~ 17:40)

▲Price: Tantanmen (egg, menma) 10,500 won, shoyu ramen (1 egg) 9,000 won

▲Review (Shikigin Kimchi Cheese Soup): Every time I go to a house where waiting isn't a joke… The menma is cut into basic pieces and the pork is super soft. The high salinity exudes the scent of ramen from mainland Japan~

Praise the acidity of Goheung Yuzu! Seoul Station “Yuzu Ramen”

Shikishin Bib Gyurman's review

Yuzu ramen, where the freshness of yuzu is conveyed from the signboard, is a place with a unique flavor made by putting Goheung yuzu in a broth made from seafood and chicken over a long period of time to make the most of the fresh flavor. The noodles are made every day to bring out the chewy texture and mild flavor of whole wheat. The basic menu is “yuzu shio ramen (salt)” and “yuzu shoyu ramen (soy sauce).” You can also order it spicy. Iberian char siu, soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and uniquely, arugula are included as basic garnishes. Yuzu and arugula meet ramen to present a fragrant meal.

▲Location: 217, Mallijae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

▲Business hours: 11:00 ~ 21:30 (B/T 15:00 ~ 17:00)

▲Price: Yuzu Shio Ramen 11,000 won, Yuzu Shoyu Ramen 11,000 won, Spicy Yuzu Shoyu Ramen 12,000 won

▲Review (Shikigami Bib Gurman): There was a place where you can eat ramen near Chungjeong-ro, so it's amazing!! Soju is delicious on the first bite, but just as Shio has a good salinity for eating a full bowl, chashu was almost the best ramen I've eaten in Korea, and if the noodles had a flickering Vidal Sassoon flavor, wouldn't it have tasted like this lol lol it's still in the early beta period, so if I supplement it a little more, I think the tsukemen that came out as a new menu had a rich yuzu flavor and was very rich in quantity. I could feel a bit of Korean flavor in the sauce, but I ate Korean food very well lol
