korean food / seoul / Five of Seoul’s best makgeolli restaurants with savory aromas and mild flavors – 2863

Our sake, makgeolli, is made by combining rice grown on our own soil, clean water, and yeast that makes the magic of fermentation. It has been loved by the common people for a long time for its immaculate appearance, subtle sweetness, and smooth texture. Today, I'd like to introduce my best friends to explode the taste of carefully made, ice-soaked makgeolli.

It is a space with a variety of pottery and food with a Korean style. The warm lighting and spacious table arrangement made it possible for you to enjoy a drink quietly. There is also a good list of traditional sake such as local makgeolli, sake, medicinal sake, and liqueurs. The signature is “grilled eel bibimguksu,” where you eat a freshwater marinated eel with salty capellini noodles.

â–²Review (Shikigami Pinkholic 1225): It's a makgeolli specialty store, but the food composition is good and the plating is very beautiful. Even if it were fine dining cuisine, it would be perfect!

Like a Korean pub, they have a full list of makgeolli and traditional sake. The signature is the savory and salty “Cheese Potato Zen” where chewy potatoes and cheese meet. It is famous for pouring makgeolli and eating it by adding “honey sari,” which is a sculpture of a honeycomb.
