Even in the bustling city center of Seoul, there is a brewery that exudes a savory smell of sake. A brewery in the center of the city, which combines the sensibility of the city center in a traditional way and can be found in an even more sophisticated way, satisfies all five senses in itself. Some stores also offer a hands-on experience of participating in sake brewing, so it's a great place to make fun memories. We will introduce urban breweries and restaurants in the city center to enjoy the aroma of freshly made makgeolli and beer.

A brewery run by CEO Kim Man-joong, who ran Seochon Jumak. They produce premium makgeolli through low-temperature aging by interpreting their ancestral methods for brewing sake in line with modern times. An âopen houseâ where you can enjoy 10 types of sake, including Seochon Makgeolli, the representative product called âSeomak,â is open every Saturday, where you can see and taste the sake brewing process firsthand. A small story about makgeolli is a bonus.

At Together Brewery's Together Dining Bar, you can enjoy makgeolli cocktails using traditional sake produced directly from the brewery. The popular cocktail âYeonhee Mintâ has a sweet and sour taste with a refreshing, spicy mint flavor based on traditional sake called buuiju. A place where a space that feels like you've come to another world unfolds over the stairs of an old paradise shopping district. You can enjoy craft beer and watch live jazz performances. The industrial-style interior, lush reed bushes, and jazz session performances combine to add to the atmosphere. The brewery at the back of the store sells homemade craft beers. The sampler, which collects representative craft beers, is popular.

A space where you can enjoy fresh makgeolli in a traditional atmosphere. This is a handmade house makgeolli bar with its own brewery. âSotdae Makgeolliâ is made with care from fresh domestic rice and directly floated yeast, and has an excellent dry flavor, acidity, and subtle malt flavor. If you want sweet makgeolli, I also recommend honey makgeolli and sweet potato makgeolli. It's even better if you add aged âbrewery bosamâ to the sake dipping sauce.
