Seochon refers to the town on the west side of Gyeongbok Palace. Seochon, which includes all areas of Hyoja-dong, Tongin-dong, and Tongui-dong, has a simple flavor hidden among the alleys. The renovated hanok has been renovated, and the refined interior is also attractive. Here are some restaurants where you can take a break in Seochon, which is a bit slow and quaint.
1. âNuha no Moriâ, a warm Japanese home-style restaurant
A small Japanese home-cooked restaurant in Seochon run by a Japanese wife and Korean husband. The signature menu is âChicken Nambang Teishoku,â which is light and moist without bread crumbs. All of the menus here are low in calories, not exceeding 500 kcal, and are popular among those who care about their weight and health. Note that one of the lunch menus changes every month to the seasonal menu, and the lunch and dinner configurations are also different.

2. âCafe YM,â where you can feel relaxed
âCafe YMâ, which is unobtrusive with its small signboard, is far from glamorous, but it stands out for its stylish furniture and cute interior. The most popular menu here is berry berry yogurt, which has beautiful visuals by putting various berries, granola, and honey on yogurt, and cappuccino with soft foam. It's located in the alley across from Daelim Museum of Art, so it's a great place to stop by to see the exhibition.

Maybe it's because it's handmade… It feels better for the body. I think it's a great cafe that incorporates the sensibility of the two bosses!
3. Chicken with sweet garlic sauce, âmirak chickenâ
Mirak Chicken is a chicken and pub famous on TV and social media for its teppan garlic chicken. Garlic chicken topped with plenty of garlic sauce on top of fried chicken that is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside is served on an iron plate, so you can enjoy it warm until the last piece. Garlic is ground and marinated in olive oil for a day, then pepper and honey are added to complete the seasoning, and the characteristic of garlic is that it is sweet without strong spiciness. Whole garlic toppings can be added for 2,000 won.

4. Freshly baked egg tarts, 'Tongin Sweet'
âTongin Sweetâ is an egg tart specialty store in Seochon. Egg tarts are made using antibiotic-free eggs and vitamin milk, and are characterized by their savory and mild flavor without the fishy smell unique to eggs. The tart paper is made from our wheat and butter, and its flavor is good. If you visit Tongin Sweet at 4:50, you can enjoy a hot, freshly made egg tart, so be sure to check it out. In addition to egg tarts, chocolate tarts and walnut tarts with a heavier texture than brownies are also available.

â²Testimonial (Shikigin's brother is a fool): I went to Tongin Sweet because of the sweet and savory smell and the visual of the yellow that had just come out of the oven! The name is good, and the small but cute store is so pretty, and I really liked the warm atmosphere unique to Tongin Sweet~
5. Memorable Japanese style hamburger steak, âfriendly hamburgerâ
A Japanese hamburger steak restaurant in Seochon run by Chef Lee Jae-hoon. It is a space converted from a small hanok, and although it is not large, it is divided into 1 and 2 floors, so it has a cute feel like an attic. The most popular menu items are spicy rose hamburger steak and original hamburger steak with demi-glace sauce. A soy sauce hamburger with a teriyaki sauce topped with beef ribs and sliced green onions has also been released and has a great response. Note that patties can be added to all menus for 4,900 won.

It's packed evenly in one bowl of hamburgers for the price, so I'm really full!
