Owner Chef Lee Young-sim’s eel rice restaurant specializes in eel rice with experience for about four years at Maruya Honten, an eel rice restaurant in Nagoya, Japan. The Jafonica variety of eel brought from Gochang, Jeollabuk-do, is cooked not to burn too much, but the tarae sauce is applied properly, so it has a very good balance with rice. Pangyo and Mapo also have stores, so it is good to find nearby stores.

(siksin 사랑스로미): Eel alone is delicious, and it’s really delicious with rice. The salty and greasy taste of eel goes well with rice. Personally, I liked it when I mixed sesame leaves, green onions, and wasabi.
Nonhyeon’s ‘해목’, as if you’re on a trip to Japan.

This is the third branch of a famous eel rice restaurant in Haeundae, Busan. The store that reproduces the feeling of a Japanese house gives you the illusion that you are on a trip to Japan. There is a basic one-and-a-half menu, “Teuk,” which is baked three times over charcoal using Jafonica eel to preserve the chewy texture and rich smoke scent. Whiskey, highball, and even their own pre-dinner liquor are prepared, so it is also good for simply adding alcohol to eel over rice.

Hiroyuki Kudo and owner chef Choi Young-hwa specialize in eel over rice in Seocho-dong. It is a place that is rumored to be delicious among eel over rice enthusiasts. The soft taste of eel is excellent because it is baked properly so that it does not burn too much using domestic eel. It is characterized by a slightly salty liver because it tastes like “Ocha,” a broth for pouring rice into it. The fluffy eel egg roll is also popular as a side dish.

(siksin 제육덮밥) It was a neat meal, so it looked pretty and tasted good. It was good because it wasn’t salty, and I like the grilled eel here because I tend to cook it crispy. It’s really good when you eat it with ochazuke.
