Except for what everyone else knows
Overseas sweets that are exotic in taste and appearance
When I was a kid, when I took my grandmother's hand and followed along to the market, there was a sweet smell that came out of my head at a dessert shop. Just a pastry! There were a variety of pastries, but my favorite was kangjeong, which was cut into square cubes by applying starch syrup to small round tempura. (The name is âOrandaâ ^^;)
Once you take a bite, it's sweet, and you won't get bitten even after eating it all day long! It was too hard for a child to eat, so I put it in milk to melt it and eat it. This pastry is my favorite dessert even now that I'm an adult.
Dessert Road readers, what kind of dessert did you eat today? A tiramisu full of thick cream cheese? Since it's summer, shaved ice after all? Macarons known as the emperor of desserts? There are a lot of sweets that are really exciting just to hear their names, but today I'm going to introduce a slightly different dessert. I went looking for sweets from overseas that were both delicious and visual (even the name)!
Kervan Bakery, the ultimate sweetness of corn
Looking for a delicious dessert, the Shikishin Hot Place team heads there today, shouting for Freedom in Itaewon.
When I walked out of Itaewon Station, the air was already filled with a different, exotic feeling . I found Kervan Bakery just after walking up Itaewon Station Exit 3!
Kervan Bakery is a bakery run directly by Turks. Basically, it's famous for Lokum (Lokum) in Turkey, but there are a variety of Turkish bakeries. Be careful, if you were hypnotized by a fancy Turkish bakery when you come to eat Lokum and buy other breads.
Inside the store, colorful Turkish lights beautifully illuminate the ceiling. Also, since this is a place that sells food from Turkey, an Islamic country, they also sell âhalal foodâ that does not contain ingredients prohibited by Islam.

It's even fun to look at Locum's colorful patterns!

Today's dessert at Kervan Bakery is the sweet narcotic confectionary âLokumâ!
It's a confectionary better known for the
expression âTurkish Delight (Turkish Delight ) â used by an Englishman who first encountered lokum while spreading the word about lokum. In the famous fantasy movie The Chronicles of Narnia, Edward, who tasted Locum, sold his brothers to the
White Witch.
The first impression of lokum is similar to jelly, but unlike jelly made from gelatin, rokum is
made from cornstarch. It's made by mixing cornstarch and sugar. Therefore, it has the characteristic that the more
you chew, the more the starchy locum melts and the sweetness becomes stronger and stronger.
Those who like sweets can really enjoy eating it, and the sweetness is so deep that those who don't like sweetness will be amazed.
In fact, Turkish people say that when they eat rokum, they always eat it with coffee or tea, so be sure to check it out before eating rokum!

Sambajon, a healthy food from South America
If it's the hottest place in Gangnam, don't miss the tree-lined street ! When you enter an alley on a busy tree-lined street
full of people, there is a sambazone with a strong logo that stands out in a slightly quiet alley. This place is also famous as a frequent destination for
Henry and Amber. Today, Shikigami Hot Place Dessert Road Team also met Henry!!! To protect the portrait rights, the photo is nonsense ~ (Seriously, I'm serious right now. I wonder where the archetypes are there..)
Sambazone offers drinks and desserts
made from the superfood âacai berry,â which is famous for being good for the body. In fact, the store isn't big, so there aren't many tables. For this reason, many people enjoy takeout drinks and desserts. However, the
Dessert Road team took their place with the intention of tasting unique desserts!
The store is full of bananas , melons, and dragon fruit (dragon fruit). Furthermore, the interior uses
various plants, and you can feel like you are in a cafe nestled in the South American jungle. Also, the refrigerator
next to the tropical fruits is full of acai berry drinks! The dark purple packaging is refreshing just to look at. Calm your eyes from all over the place and order the acai bowl, which is the signature dish of this place.
