'Woljeong Sonata', a Jeju raw meat specialty store in Deungchon-dong
On Friday evening, I visited Eun Jun-hyung's work, Woljeong Sonata in Deungchon-dong, for the first time. It's not far from home, so why isn't it easy to walk around this neighborhood? Thanks to Invitation going ahead and arranging a meeting, the first couple, Ullak, and Lage got together. Rather than a meeting of five people, I think it would be appropriate for two men to go to the Jumannani meeting, which is boasting the best breathing these days. No, I should say that a dog caught in a group of four mice.
I was planning to take a bus, but I took a taxi because I was so upset that I was close to my appointment. It's time to leave work on Friday, so the road is very congested. After talking with the driver, I arrived at E-Mart Gayang. It seems that it took less than 5 minutes on foot from E-Mart to Woljeong Sonata. Since I live in a large shopping district called Gangseo Haiti Valley, it wasn't difficult to find the building. I couldn't see the one at the end of the one-story shopping district, and I was a little lost around the building. The signboard isn't clearly visible, so I think it would be easy to find it by looking at the Harubang-shaped air boom sign standing outside.
The interior was a good reflection of Eun Jun-hyung's tendencies. It's a bright and fresh feeling that's not like a yakiniku restaurant. Photographs taken directly from Jeju Island are hung on the wall. It is said that they learned through many yakiniku restaurants until Woljeong Sonata in Deungchon-dong opened, and went down to a yakiniku restaurant in Jeju Island and passed on their know-how by running on their own feet.
At Woljeong Sonata, you can grill pork from Jeju Island on a stone plate made of volcanic stones from Jeju Island. Good meat requires good sake, so in addition to diluted shochu, distilled shochu such as Ippumjinro and Huayo are also available. Hallasan, the soju of Jeju Island, is basic. Abalone grilled in pork oil was also a delicacy. I was able to fill my stomach with everything from okonomiyaki-style fried rice and makguksu, which I first met at a yakiniku restaurant.
